How to set up your phone or tablet for Internet access?
For all lifecell subscribers "Internet Without Settings" service is available by default in Ukraine. Thanks to it, to access the Internet, you do not need to make any settings on your phone – the access is possible even without them. To manage the service, dial *123*30# and press the call button.
NB! When going abroad, to access the Internet, make sure to set up the phone. If you still need to get the automatic settings, dial the combination *123*6# or send a SMS to number 123 with the following text:
INTERNET — to get settings from the Internet from your phone or tablet
MMS — to get MMS settings
ALL — to get all settings supported by your phone.
Save the settings in your phone and activate your profile with setting data. The password to save the settings is 1234. Then, turn off and then turn your phone for the changes to take effect.
Why I cannot connect to the Internet?
If you cannot connect to the Internet from your phone, please, follow the following recommendations:
- Make sure that “Data transfer” function is on. You can find it in «Settings» in phones based on Android and in «Cellular Data» in phones based on iOS.
- Check the settings. The corresponding profile must be active, for example, lifecell Internet.
If everything is set correctly, please, turn on your mobile phone again and try to connect to the Internet one more time.
Why did the Internet speed drop?
According to the terms of some tariff plans, in order to exclude the commercial use of the Internet by some subscribers and to secure reliable and comfortable use of the Internet for the others “Ethical Use Policy” is applied. “Ethical Use Policy” means that for subscribers using more Mb/day than specified (by the trems of their tariff plan) can experience the speed drop for the specified period.
Check out your tariff plan descrption to find the way to avoid speed drop. To get the name of your tariff plan, please, dial *161#.Important: “Ethical Use Policy” covers less than 0,5% of the total amount of subscribers.
Why does the error (failure) occur during downloading a file?
If the connection to the Internet and the network signal on the phone are stable the most common reason of the failure during the file downloading is the file discontinuity. In such cases, we recommend addressing the service support of the website you want to download the file from.
Why I cannot connect to the Internet when using certain browsers?
One of the reasons can be:
- Temporary problems in the operation of a browser;
- Old version of a browser;
- Non-operating browser has been downloaded.
We recommend to update a browser app or to use a browser installed in basic software package by the manufacturer.
How can I use the Service at the smartphone?
To use the Service «Internet access» at your smartphone it must be properly set. You can set your smartphone manually or you can order the automatic settings of the Internet to be sent to your smartphone.
You can use one of the following methods to order the automatic settings for your smartphone:
- call *123#, select Internet Poslugy category, then Nastroiky
- send SMS with INTERNET to a number 123
- call 5433 (free for lifecell subscribers) and inform the representative of the call-center your phone number and the service you want to adjust.
After you receive the settings, save them.
To set your smartphone manually, use the Manual for your smartphone to create a new access point with the following settings:
